when SPLATALOT was on TV, I was around 7. back then, I wanted a web-page thing to do with the TV show. there was never one, so I've decided to DIM [Do It Myself. and yes, I am aware that the acronym is DIM [as in, THICK], but THATDOESNTMATTER]
[this show looks like a YTP at the best of times]

cross the moat- [or the 'merciless moat' in some cases] [12 [S1]/10 attackers in R1/6 in R2/4 in R3]

-water drop [site calls it 'defender's douse'] [only in S1]
-baffling barrels/pungent plank/battle balls [site calls them 'mace balls']/splatapult/baffling barrels - piercing pellets [battle balls - spikeballs/piercing pellets - only seen with baffling barrels]
-slippery slope [also has a rope and a sprinkler in S2]
-rolling mace [can have different designs - red - gold spikes/red - blue blocks/red - yellow - silver spikes and blades] [can also have the splakken in S2] [IN SOME S2 EPISODES, THE SERIES 2 DESIGN IS MISSING THE SPIKES]
-impossible incline
-beastly battleaxes [move up and down]
-rope bridge of disaster [can look different [net w/o shields/purple slab/net with rungs]/bridge of disaster [series 2 version tilts from side to side]
-perilous pole vault/debilitating disk/heinous helper/wavering warhead [in S2, the disk looks different]

[the stop-off points are entitled 'callous columns'. Dick and Dom once called it 'outrageous obstacle', instead of 'big orange thing'
[the end platform is called 'splatform', and attackers are gunged [blue, or clear on 1 episode] after S2 runs]

escape the stockade [series 1]
grab ladder rungs, and slot them in place to form a ladder. when you've got all your rungs, grab a ["furious"] flag, and you're done.
BUT IT'S NOT THAT EASY. there's 3 spinning wheels [wheel of certain doom] in the way, and foam, water and slime will be blasted at them.
sometimes, there can be a spinning hexagon and 3 bouncy ["hellish"] hexapods [AKA precarious perches] you need to balance on to grab rungs.
['rickety rungs/lumbering ladders'/'pardoning platform' [or 'conqueror's catwalk']

ditch the dungeon [series 2]
escape the stockmarket, then make it across the splatwalk. then climb the loathsome ladder to win. THERE ARE ONLY 4 FLAGS FOR BOTH S1 AND S2

capture the crown [series 1]
-paralyzing poles into funky foam [or murky mud]
-slippery slides [sometimes, there's only a crashmat]
-terrible/titanic teeters
-barrier of all barriers
-bouncy buoy/leaping lily pads
-wonderful water wall of no return [activated as soon as an attacker gets on the previous obstacle] [leads to 'costly crown']

capture the crown [series 2]
-dire mire
-barrier of all barriers
-terrifying Ts [SMASHALOT calls them 'tippy Ts']
-scary-go-round [can have the splakken]
-annihilating arm
-gruesome twosome
-clobbering cannons [button-activated]
-royal ramps
-rockwall to victory [leads to 'coronation corner' and the 'costly crown']
-------------------------------------------------------------------
