Hello and welcome to the bbc's newest game show, HowToWinAtEverything.
I'm your host, Des Lennis, and today's contestant is a lovely bloke called Brad Welsh
What's your specialist subject? Really? Ok, that's alright then, except I never heard anything. Today's chaser is me, cos we can't afford anyone else

Will it be the beast? He was recently banned from itv studios in account of them having a citv show named after him.

Or will it be the governess? She was recently told she'd replace her local governor for no reason whatsoever.

Perhaps it's new chaser Ann Robinson? So strict, she didn't let us put a picture of her on the table.

Maybe it's the menace, who got told this morning people would get him and Dennis Menace confused, which isn't an easy mistake to make: Dennis looks way better.

Or will it be the dark destroyer? He was told by Disney that he was copying Darth Vader

Or will it be the vixen? She recently discovered what furries are, and now wants to go work for the bbc.

Maybe it's the shark, he's got so many teeth, he has to visit the dentist every week

Or will it be the tiger mum? She also discovered what furries are, and is now swiftly regretting that decision

Maybe it's the supernerd. Marvel comics recently called him to star in their next movie, But he just shouted facts and figures at them over the telephone

Or maybe it's goliath. So big, he gets mistaken for the BFG

what about the sinnerman. every day he commits at least 0 sins

what about the high roller? what do you mean he looks nothing like a steam roller?

or what about the professor? really? he should be working in his local school

what about the buzzsaw? his look is so scary, it can cut through dust

or what about the queen? one certainly hopes it isn't her

maybe its the lightning bolt. he once got electrocuted by a pair of shoes

perhaps its the stunner. so stunning, the police use him as a stun-gun

or maybe it's the smiling assassin. she always smiles, even being beaten by me at her own game

These ones don’t make any sense, but take them anyways:

Doctor know-all

Quiz lady

Belladonna

Mr. lisak

Hello, and welcome to No Deal Ordeal, with your host, Noel Snedmonds. This is the only gameshow what can last for years without stopping. Our last show went on for 10 years!
Let's meet our contestant.
Hello, and you are?

(Caddy) I'm Caddy

Well that's great, what do you do for a living?

(Caddy) I work as a part time golf caddy...yeah, I know

Well that's alright then. So caddy, in the room your about to go into has 500 boxes. One of these boxes contains a million quid. What will you do with the money if you win it?

(Caddy) I'll buy a million...quid

Ok. However, the other 499 boxes contain absolutely nothing. If you choose one of them, well lock you in the room for another 400 hours. Ok, so if you'd like to go into the room now...

(Goes into room)

AHA! WHAT HE DOESN'T KNOW IS THAT I'M ACTUALLY SPONS! I'M GOING TO PUT HIM OFF THE SEARCH FOR A MILLION BY SHOUTING A MILLION SPONSOR PITCHES AT HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WONKA MUSICAL REVIEWS: so I wanted to compare each version of the CatCF musicals to see which one comes out on top. spoilers: it's probably gonna be the London version.

I have playlists for promotional stuff and other bits and bobs for these musicals:

I put these here so you can watch the videos so you can understand what the flibbering 'eck I'm on about.

LONDON: ah, the OG version from 2013. the first production to imply that the 4 kids die in Wonka's factory. the general set up in this one is impressive, with even the scrapyard and the Bucket's house looking impressive, much like the 2005 Burton movie.

IT MUST BE BELIEVED TO BE SEEN is executed in a brilliant way, with the shadow of Wonka's factory in the background making for an excellent backdrop while the song is in progress. Wonka's factory itself uses a lot of optical illusions for the Oompa Loompas:

in the chocolate room, Augustus [who is the usual German bloke here] falls in the chocolate river and is sucked up with a pipe. there is a hole hidden from view at the bottom that the actor can slip through. Augustus then goes through another pipe while the Oompas do their song. this effect is achieved by using a puppet in the first pipe, but putting the actor on a trolley in the 2nd. the Oompas here are actually 2 people - 1 for the head and shoes [person 1's hands in tap shoes] and 1 for the hands/arms

in the inventing room, Violet [who now is some internet superstar...OKAY] blows herself up into a blueberry after chewing Wonka's G.U.M. she blows up using a fan in her backpack [and using a violet overhead light]. the Oompas start the first bit of JUICY! while on some kind on counter [the actor's real legs are hidden behind the silver part], and the second bit starts when Violet blows up into a disco ball [she's inside a ball suspended above] and the Oompas come out dancing [the actors' legs are properly concealed inside the platform boots].

[the Oompa on top where Violet comes out is an actor standing with puppet legs.] JUICY! ends with Violet going back inside the giant silver vat and 'exploding', showering the stage in blueberry goo and glitter

in the nut room, the usual Veruca goes after a squirrel and ends up forced down down the bad nut chute along with her father. the Oompas here are on the back of giant squirrels [the squirrel legs are the actors' legs]

in the Department of the Future [AKA the tv room], the surprisingly more violent Mike Teavee gets shrunk after being sent by television. Wonka, the Oompas and Mrs. Teavee rave while Mike attempts to evade being caught. there is a smoke bomb-like effect as Mike is 'teleported', and the screens the Oompas try to grab him from are all pre-made video. there are 2 types of Oompa Loompa here - the kind that is just one [actor standing on their knees] and the kind that is two [1 person standing up]

A LITTLE ME only appears in this version, which is quite stupid. [it was going to be in the Broadway version, but got cut after previews.] Wonka tells Charlie about the factory he's just won as his grand prize, and and the Oompas and Charlie's family come celebrate with him. the Oompas here can be just one [like the ones from the chocolate room, but with puppet hands, the ones from VIDIOTS with 2 Oompas on top of eachother, or just an Oompa peeking out from above a bunch of boxes] or the ones are need 2 people, which are the stark same as the ones from the chocolate room

BROADWAY: this one . . . no. they use THE CANDY MAN [which is good, I'll say it], but there's downgrades to IT MUST BE BELIEVED TO BE SEEN, the Buckets' house [which is now just a ... bed], all the Oompa songs, the Oompas in general [they're now just people standing on their knees with puppet bodies] and the fact they TOTALLY SCRAPPED JUICY!!!! instead of a proper Violet song, they just insert HOW WILLY MET OOMPA, which is a bit of an insult considering the child exits are meant to be a big part of the show, and it's odd that they just shove and explode violet off-stage without a second thought. Gloop is disposed of quickly in the same manner as the first bit of the London version, Salt is TORN APART ON-STAGE BY FULL-SIZE SQUIRRELS [it's a puppet, OBVS - but they still use fake blood, which is a BIT MUCH for a FAMILY thing] and Teavee is removed in the same way as the London version, albeit less in an impressive way

ITALY: we don't know much about this one, for it's missing. IT MUST BE BELIEVED TO BE SEEN has a new backing track thing, and it suits it well. unfortunately, the Oompas are done in the same way as the BW version, there's still no Violet song, the sets still look bare-bones, Mike looks bland and his bit of his intro song [THAT LITTLE MAN O' MINE] doesn't suit him very well, Gloop's exit is just him going down a slide [I'm not joking, look it up] and the squirrels are now painfully changed to people-in-costumes. what I'm getting at is this version's version of Wonka was perfect, and it's a shame that the sets couldn't live up to the same quality

GERMANY: another missing one, this one just doesn't bother with the Oompa-illusion, they now look like Smiling Advocates from the towers of Alton. it's nice that Charlie's costume looks like Wonka's costume, but Violet STILL DOESN'T HAVE AN OOMPA SONG!!! they've upgraded the sets a bit, which is a change. the TV room looks like the one from the '71 movie, which makes a change from the normal set of the '05 movie. Mike doesn't look 'Mike' enough, Veruca sort of looks like Miranda Piker, one of the scrapped kids from the book. the squirrels now look like people-in-fursuits, which is better than what Italy did, however all they do is dispose of Veruca by pushing her through a bit of cloth, which is a bit mid, I say 'mid' cos it actually looks like they tried here

FRANCE: [missing] ok - it's different. Wonka looks different, Mike has a T-shirt with a picture of a facemask emoji on it, which is certainly NOT what he should be doing, Veruca looks like a Disney addict and Violet looks like her London counterpart, and she STILL DOESN'T HAVE A PROPER EXIT SONG!!!!!!! also the Oompa Loompas look like Sentai foot soldiers...they also breakdance in VIDIOTS, the changes to VIDIOTS I don't like

NETHERLANDS: [missing] what do you want me to say? Mr. Salt looks like he belongs on CBBC's The Slammer, Mike looks like a PoweRanger, and they got kids to play the kids [about time]

SPAIN: [missing] as far as I can tell, the stark same as the Italy production

BRAZIL: the Oompa Loompas are soulless puppets this time around, which is . . . KREEPEY, Wonker's fact'ry is on the . . . WONK in IT MUST BE BELIEVED TO BE SEEN, there's screens on the stage, more kids to play the kids, the nut room has NO Oompas FULL STOP, instead having nutcracker people and humans with squirrel parts as puppets [AND they shred Veruca, too!]! the quality went down so much it went creepy with all the puppets

LONDON 2023: what to say about this one, eh? it tries to mash 2 songs together for IT MUST BE BELIEVED TO BE SEEN, which doesn't work. his factory looks like it belongs in Vidiots alone, it's all done in front of 2 screens, which sucks [which shines through in the chocolate room, really terrible], VIOLET FINALLY GETS A NEW SONG THAT IS A USED AND ALTERATED VERSION HER PROTOTYPE SONG FROM 2010, there's RoboLoompas, which I don't mind, it attempts to make the mixing cup a whole room, which would work I guess...but there's no tap-dancing in Gloop's song. even though it would be 100% possible!!! they also change the "invisible maze of deadly traps" to just a single invisible pendulum, which is cleverly-ish done by doing a rippling effect on the back screen. the roboloompas simply cart the Salts off instead of DAN GER. they somehow made Gloop's song even more dark by using a cylinder and putting a model of him inside it and flaunting it around the stage, odd - all we need now is the ScissorsMan to come and we'll have the darkest version yet

They removed a part of THE TEAVEE FAMILY so that Mike only gets 2 parts. One of those parts is modified to have Mrs. Teavee speak more and then have Mike sing again. They also have it so Mike watches tv for 50 hours and not playing a video game

YOU GOT WHAT YOU WANT's first few lines are sung by Wonka,
it's wrong, it's not meant to be his song

In VIDIOTS, the focus is on tv, not random tech (the skies of blue, the pinks, the greens are only viewed on tv screens)

VIDIOTS' lyrics are changed a bit:

It rots the senses in the head
It kills imagination dead
It clogs and clutters up the mind
It makes a child so dull and blind
they can no longer understand
A fantasy, a fairyland
Their brain becomes as soft as cheese
Their powers of thinking rust and freeze

and also they use a 2008 telly and make mike run through a videogame on the back screen. PACK MHAN. also they use a cheaper illusion and also use a RoboLoompa to catch mike in the screen, which is sort of like how they did it with the 2013 London version, nyice [also with the smaller tv, it's just wonka ads and no funny references]

JAPAN [missing]: the version from the place with big giant X-pensive robobots and yodzilla and mask roider. this version's Oompa Loompas are playing Fat on Your Back, one of DICK AND DOM'S games they used to play in DA BUNGALOW. that aside, everyone's dressed in flashy clothing, which is how you can tell it's from Japan

Greece [missing]: Wonka looks sort of like the 2COOL4SCHOOL presenters from Horrid Henry: THE MOVIE [otherwise known as DICK AND DOM], the Glass Elevator is just a BOX, the whole show is done in front of another wretched SCREEN

Irish [missing]: we know basically nothing about this other than the fact that APPARENTLY, the RoboLoomps were used in this version, which is FAIR ENOUFF

America [2024] [full version missing]: this... is this odd. they chose to make another version? regardless, Mike looks like a power rangers villain. WHOT AN UPGRADEY. the Umpah Lumpers are neon colour... okiey. Nut Room's basically a trap door, and they're never tearing her apart again. FANK GODD.
